A Stroll Down Avenue of the Stars

On one of our last days in Hong Kong, Simon took Andy and I for a fun, casual stroll down Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, home of the famous tourist attraction - Avenue of the Stars. Although the weather was somewhat hazy, the walk gave us an unobstructed full view of the Central area of Hong Kong across the Victoria Harbour.

The Avenue of Stars is a guided walkway alongside the waterfront. It was built in recognition of notable Hong Kong film workers for their inspiring contribution to local and world theatres. The promenade is highlighted by many 'starry' plaques on the ground that honour their local talent. Celebrities such as Leon Lai Ming, John Woo and Andy Lau had their autographs and hand prints imprinted on the cement. Iconic statues also dot the 440 metre promenade. Here's Bruce Lee claiming his rightful place amongst the stars.

Oh, and there's Simon & Andy claiming theirs......

Chow Yun Fat & Jackie Chan in the making...

By the end of the stroll, we all went home feeling happily star struck...
